Help Us Make Palm Crosses!
You’re invited to join us Saturday, March 23rd as the congregation makes Palm Crosses for our Palm Sunday Service. We’ll gather in Fireside Lounge at 9AM for a morning of fellowship and the beauty of creation by our own hands. Everyone, of all ages is invited and experience is not required. Simply bring your own scissors and join us for this blessed and joyful event. Help us begin Holy Week as we prepare for Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem amidst the hosannas, happy throngs and of course palm branches that represent Palm Sunday. We look forward to experiencing God’s wonder of creation with you!
In between the festivity of Palm Sunday and the glory of Easter, Maundy Thursday pays solemn remembrance to the last hours of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our Savior celebrates a last supper with his disciples, goes to Gethsemane to pray, is betrayed, arrested, tried, and put to death. Please join us Thursday, March 28th at 7PM for this deeply moving and profoundly spiritual service. Maundy Thursday brings us closer to God through a deeper understanding of and participation in the last hours of our Lord. It also reminds us that we cannot arrive at Easter without first traveling through Maundy Thursday.
On Saturday, March 30th, you’re invited to assist the Worship Committee with the treasure that is decorating our sanctuary for Easter morning. Bring your most beautiful flowers, blooming branches and greenery. If you bring them in buckets of water, they will stay fresh until arranged! You’re also invited to bring pruners and garden gloves if you choose. We will gather at 9 AM and welcome everyone’s participation into this wonderful tradition of beauty, creativity and joyous preparation for Easter!
